16 year old, can you believe a 16 year old girl named Eishia Hudson was shot and killed by Winnipeg Police. Then 12 hours later a friend of Eishia's father, Jason Collins, who was 36, was shot and killed by Winnipeg Police in a separate incident. Both were Indigneous. So 2 young Indigneous people were dead within 12 hours in the same city in separate incidents.

It was announced on January 28, 2021 that the officer who shot Eishia will not face any criminal charges.
In February 2021, William Ahmo was assaulted by jail guards and then died. In William Ahmo's last moments he is assaulted by people paid by our tax dollars. Does it really take 7 prison guards to control 1 inmate....??? Come on now that is really lame. The leader of the prison guards was charged however don't the other guards need to get charged with swarming? If 7 people attacked one person, in the real world they would be charged with swarming. Five years earlier Soleiman Faqiri is also swarmed and also dies in a jail cell. Weren't recommendations made in Soleiman's death investigation that should have prevented William's death? In August 2019, ad intoxicated man was arrested at James Richardson Aiport in Winnipeg. During the arrest an RCMP officer knelt on Nathan Lasuik's for about 4 minutes. In the video, Nathan kept saying he "can't breathe." The officer didn't remove his knee. This video was made before the George Floyd death. This incident shows you that kneeing on a persons neck didn't start and end with George Floyd, unfortunately. Read more on this case.
On November 21, 2015 Steven Campbell was shot and killed by an former RCMP officer. The officer was found guilty of criminal negligence causing bodily harm in 2020. He didn't get any jail time however the Crown is appealing that decision. The Manitoba prosecutor believes there is a two-tier system when sentencing police saying they get less time in jail.
